How do I tell rain seepage from rising damp?
Rain seepage grows after storms, on walls that face the weather, at any height. Rising damp stays near the floor, leaves a tide mark and white salts, and changes little with the weather. A wall next to a bathroom gets worse after showers instead.
The applicator takes moisture readings inside and out, and looks at the outside face and whatever sits behind the wall, to confirm which before quoting.
