Furniture factory floors in Muar and Batu Pahat

Furniture factory flooring in Muar and Batu Pahat: LevelShield SL120 for machining halls and loading bays, R50 for timber stores, showroom finishes.

We reply within one working day, Monday to Friday.

Also in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, and Penang, through authorised applicators there.

What is the best floor for a furniture factory?

A primed epoxy floor matched to each area: Rayson specifies LevelShield SL120 self-levelling epoxy where forklifts and machines work, FloorGuard R50 roller coats in timber and board stores to seal the dust, and a UraForce WB58 topcoat or an IFS decorative finish in the showroom.

Before you choose

Which floor for machining and assembly halls?

LevelShield SL120 self-levelling epoxy over PrimeBond E20: its data sheet lists assembly halls, production areas and areas under mechanical loading and abrasion, which is what forklifts carrying timber and heavy machines do to a floor. Timber and board stores under lighter wear take FloorGuard R50 roller coats.

Joints and cracks are repaired before the coating, so forklift wheels do not break their edges; the survey maps them.

Does a sealed floor help with sawdust?

It stops the concrete adding its own dust, and it sweeps clean: sawdust lies on a sealed epoxy surface instead of working into the pores of bare concrete. The dust from the machines still needs extraction; the floor makes the cleaning faster.

Bare concrete wears and dusts under forklift wheels; FloorGuard R50 seals it at lower cost in the stores, and SL120 builds a harder-wearing surface where the traffic is heavy.

What about the finishing and spray lines?

They are checked first. Lacquers, stains and thinners vary from factory to factory, and the data sheets do not list resistance to them, so the specification names a system for the finishing line only after your products are checked against it.

Until then the finishing line is quoted separately from the rest of the floor, so the halls and stores are not held up.

What about the showroom for buyers?

A showroom floor has to look new to buyers: FloorGuard R50 in a colour from the range under a UraForce WB58 topcoat, which does not yellow, or an IFS decorative finish such as Metallic Epoxy or polished concrete overlay laid over Rayson layers. The finish is chosen on a sample board.

IFS finishes are IFS products under IFS’s own terms, installed over Rayson primer by the authorised applicator, with the combined build-up confirmed on a sample board first.

What you see

The signs

  • Concrete dust mixing with sawdust on the floor and on stock
  • Joint edges breaking up under forklifts carrying timber
  • Lacquer and stain marks soaked into bare concrete
  • A showroom floor that no longer looks new to buyers
Why it happens

The usual causes

  • Bare concrete that was never sealed
  • A thin coating where forklifts needed a self-levelling build
  • Finishing lines on floors never checked against the lacquers and thinners in use
How the job runs

From three photos to a finished job

  1. Survey the factory

Moisture and bond tests, a joint and crack map, the forklift routes, the finishing products, and the production and container schedule.

  2. Specification from the maker

System by area, the finishing line after the chemical check, the showroom finish on a sample board, and the data sheets, in writing.

  3. Grind, repair, lay

Diamond grinding, joint and crack repair, PrimeBond E20, then SL120 or R50 at the data-sheet build, hall by hall.

  4. Cure and hand over

Forklifts back when the specification allows; data sheets and records in the handover file.

What to send

Three photos are enough for a first quotation

  1. A hall, wide, down a forklift route
  2. The worst patch and a joint or loading bay, close
  3. Area in sq ft per hall, the forklifts, and when each hall can close

What it costs

What does furniture factory flooring cost in Muar?

Per square foot, quoted after a slab survey. Five things decide it: the area by hall, the state of the slab (grinding, joints, cracks and moisture), the system for the forklift traffic, how much stock and machinery has to move, and the section programme around production and container dates. Rayson publishes no price list; contractors with their own crews can buy the systems direct.

The Rayson difference

An installer buys whatever is on the shelf. A Rayson-authorised applicator installs what Rayson makes.

01

The maker writes the specification

The system is specified by the company that makes the material, and installed by an independent applicator Rayson has authorised, not chosen from whatever a supplier had on the shelf that week.

02

A data sheet for every layer

Every Rayson material on your floor or roof has a published technical data sheet. You can read what went in, and so can your consultant.

03

Two warranties, two companies

Rayson warrants the material as its maker. The authorised applicator, an independent company that contracts with you, warrants the workmanship. Each warranty is issued by the company responsible for it.

04

Same materials on both sides of the Causeway

The products, data sheets and application methods are the ones Rayson publishes in Singapore. Nothing is rebadged for Malaysia.

05

Materials direct, for your own crew

Contractors and facility teams buy the same materials direct from the maker, with application guidance. The applicator is there when you want the job done for you.

Questions people ask

Do you cover Muar, Batu Pahat and Yong Peng?

Yes. The Rayson-authorised applicator in Johor takes jobs in Muar, including Bukit Pasir, in Batu Pahat and in Yong Peng, as well as in Johor Bahru and the surrounding towns.

Can the floor be done without stopping production?

Yes, in sections: halls are closed in turn around your production and container dates. LevelShield SL120 takes foot traffic after about 18 hours and light traffic after two days at 30 °C, with full cure in five days.

Who gives the warranty?

Rayson warrants its materials as their maker; the Rayson-authorised applicator warrants its workmanship; an IFS finish carries IFS’s own material terms. All of it is written into the quotation.
