Anti-slip floor treatment in Johor Bahru

Anti-slip floor treatment in Johor Bahru for ramps, porches, walkways and wet rooms: GripSafe AP12 on concrete, textured epoxy, by an authorised applicator.

We reply within one working day, Monday to Friday.

Also in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, and Penang, through authorised applicators there.

What is an anti-slip floor treatment?

An anti-slip treatment gives a smooth floor a texture that grips underfoot when wet. On concrete and asphalt, GripSafe AP12 builds it in one product with quartz; coated floors get quartz broadcast into the epoxy; glazed tiles get a separate tile treatment, quoted on inspection.

Before you choose

Is GripSafe AP12 a Rayson product?

Yes. It is Rayson’s one-pack acrylic primer filler loaded with 0.5 to 1.5 mm quartz, for concrete and asphalt walkways, ramps, playgrounds and courts.

The quartz is blended in at the factory, so every pass lays the same texture with no loose grit to broadcast. It is non-yellowing and made for outdoor use as well as indoors.

What about my glazed bathroom tiles?

Glazed tiles cannot be coated reliably, so they are treated rather than coated. The applicator quotes a tile treatment on inspection; it is not a Rayson product and is said so on the quotation.

The applicator can try the treatment on a small area first, so you can see and feel the result before the whole floor is done.

How long does the texture last?

On a walkway or porch, years, if it is cleaned with a brush rather than a pressure jet that strips it. The handover explains the cleaning.

Texture wears fastest where people turn and stop, such as the top of a ramp and the entrance step; those spots can be treated again on their own.

How do I know if my floor is too slippery?

If someone has slipped, or the floor feels slick under a wet shoe, it needs texture. The applicator checks the floor wet at the inspection, and the finished floor is walked wet before handover.

Care homes, kindergartens and commercial kitchens are where a fall costs most, so they are worth treating before the first one.

What you see

The signs

  • Someone has already slipped on the porch, ramp or bathroom floor
  • A polished or glazed floor that is a skating rink in the rain
  • A care home, school or kindergarten with a wet walkway
  • A commercial kitchen or washdown area
Why it happens

The usual causes

  • Smooth concrete, polished tiles or gloss coatings with no texture
  • Water that cannot drain off a flat surface
  • Algae on an outdoor walkway
How the job runs

From three photos to a finished job

  1. Check the surface and the wet

What the floor is made of, where the water comes from and who walks on it decides the method.

  2. Clean and prepare

Algae and grime removed, the surface keyed and primed where a coating goes on.

  3. Build the texture

GripSafe AP12 on concrete and asphalt; quartz broadcast into the epoxy finish on coated floors; a tile treatment on glazed tiles, quoted separately.

  4. Test underfoot

Walked wet before handover, with the cleaning regime explained so the texture lasts.

What to send

Three photos are enough for a first quotation

  1. The whole area, wide
  2. The surface close, showing whether it is concrete, tile or coated
  3. Where the water comes from and who uses the area

What it costs

What does anti-slip floor treatment cost in Johor Bahru?

Per square foot, quoted after inspection. Four things decide it: the surface (concrete, coated floor or glazed tile), the area, the cleaning and preparation (algae and grime removed first), and access. A GripSafe treatment on concrete is a quick job; a textured epoxy finish is part of a floor coating job. Rayson publishes no price list.

The Rayson difference

An installer buys whatever is on the shelf. A Rayson-authorised applicator installs what Rayson makes.

01

The maker writes the specification

The system is specified by the company that makes the material, and installed by an independent applicator Rayson has authorised, not chosen from whatever a supplier had on the shelf that week.

02

A data sheet for every layer

Every Rayson material on your floor or roof has a published technical data sheet. You can read what went in, and so can your consultant.

03

Two warranties, two companies

Rayson warrants the material as its maker. The authorised applicator, an independent company that contracts with you, warrants the workmanship. Each warranty is issued by the company responsible for it.

04

Same materials on both sides of the Causeway

The products, data sheets and application methods are the ones Rayson publishes in Singapore. Nothing is rebadged for Malaysia.

05

Materials direct, for your own crew

Contractors and facility teams buy the same materials direct from the maker, with application guidance. The applicator is there when you want the job done for you.

The practical details

Questions people ask

Can the area stay in use during the work?

Usually in part. A walkway or ramp can be done in halves so one side stays open; GripSafe AP12 is touch dry in 30 to 60 minutes at 25 °C and fully cured in a day, and each half reopens when the data sheet allows.

Can our maintenance team apply GripSafe AP12?

Yes. Rayson sells GripSafe AP12 direct with the data sheet and application guidance; the authorised applicator is there when you want the job done for you.

Who gives the warranty?

Rayson warrants its materials as their maker; the Rayson-authorised applicator warrants its workmanship. A tile treatment carries the applicator’s terms only.
