Shop, café and showroom floors in Johor Bahru

Epoxy and PU floor coating for shops, cafés and showrooms in Johor Bahru, laid overnight or between tenancies by an authorised applicator on Rayson materials.

We reply within one working day, Monday to Friday.

What is a commercial epoxy floor?

A commercial epoxy floor is a primer, an epoxy body coat and a polyurethane topcoat over the slab or firmly bonded tiles: seamless, quick to mop and made for chairs, trolleys and daily cleaning. A UV-stable topcoat keeps the colour in shopfront daylight.

Before you choose

Can you do it overnight?

For a plain coloured floor on a prepared slab, often yes, with foot traffic the next morning and fittings after cure. The quotation states what can be done in one night and what needs two.

Larger floors are done in sections over several nights, or in one go during a fit-out before the fittings arrive.

Will the colour fade in the shopfront?

An epoxy on its own yellows in daylight. The UraForce WB58 polyurethane topcoat is aliphatic and UV-stable, which is why it goes on every shopfront floor.

The topcoat is also the surface that takes the chairs, the trolleys and the daily mopping, so the colour underneath stays protected.

What about the entrance when it rains?

GripSafe AP12 builds an anti-slip texture into the entrance zone in one product; the rest of the floor can stay smooth for cleaning.

The textured zone goes where rainwater and wet feet actually reach, and a mat inside the door helps the rest of the floor stay dry.

Can it go over our old tiles?

Over firmly bonded tiles, yes, after keying, filling the grout lines and a bonding primer. The applicator taps every tile first; hollow ones are taken out and patched.

Coating over tiles avoids hacking, with its dust and noise, which matters in a mall or a row of shops that keep trading.

What you see

The signs

  • A tiled floor with cracked grout that never looks clean
  • A fit-out with a floor budget and an opening date
  • A café entrance that is slippery when it rains
  • Colour on an old coated floor that has yellowed or worn through
Why it happens

The usual causes

  • Fit-out coatings chosen for price, without a UV-stable topcoat
  • Floors coated over dust, grease or damp
  • No anti-slip where wet feet come in
How the job runs

From three photos to a finished job

  1. Survey and programme

The floor, the trading hours and the opening date set the plan: overnight, in sections, or during the fit-out.

  2. Prepare and prime

Degrease, grind or key, repair, then E20 primer.

  3. Colour and topcoat

R50 body coat in the chosen colour, WB58 topcoat for daylight and cleaning, GripSafe AP12 texture at the entrance and wet zones.

  4. Open on time

Foot traffic the next morning, fittings after cure; data sheets and the warranty in the handover file.

What to send

Three photos are enough for a first quotation

  1. The whole floor, wide
  2. The entrance and any wet zone, close
  3. Area in sq ft, trading hours and the opening date

What it costs

What does a shop floor coating cost in Johor Bahru?

Per square foot, quoted after inspection. Five things decide it: the area, the state of the floor or tiles, the colour and finish, the anti-slip zones, and the programme. Night work and sectioning cost more than a clear floor during a fit-out. Rayson publishes no price list.

Who stands behind the job

  • Rayson makes the materials, writes the specification and warrants the material.
  • Rayson-authorised applicator, Johor an independent company authorised by Rayson, contracts with you, inspects, quotes, installs and warrants the workmanship.
  • Rayson is not the installer and is not a party to the installation contract. Two warranties, two companies.

The Rayson difference

An installer buys whatever is on the shelf. A Rayson-authorised applicator installs what Rayson makes.

01

The maker writes the specification

The system is specified by the company that makes the material, and installed by an independent applicator Rayson has authorised, not chosen from whatever a supplier had on the shelf that week.

02

A data sheet for every layer

Every Rayson material on your floor or roof has a published technical data sheet. You can read what went in, and so can your consultant.

03

Two warranties, two companies

Rayson warrants the material as its maker. The authorised applicator, an independent company that contracts with you, warrants the workmanship. Each warranty is issued by the company responsible for it.

04

Same materials on both sides of the Causeway

The products, data sheets and application methods are the ones Rayson publishes in Singapore. Nothing is rebadged for Malaysia.

05

Materials direct, for your own crew

Contractors and facility teams buy the same materials direct from the maker, with application guidance. The applicator is there when you want the job done for you.
