Best for

Best for tanks, below-grade structures, water containment, marine environments and roofs that need a seamless, fast-return, chemically resistant polyurea lining.

SealForce SP200 is Rayson's spray-grade pure polyurea: a two-component, 100% solids system that gels in seconds and builds a seamless, monolithic membrane over concrete and steel — including across field joints. It is placed by heated plural-component spray equipment and is put into light service within minutes.

The cured film combines high tensile strength, strong elongation and excellent impact, abrasion and puncture resistance with very low permeability, so it both waterproofs and protects — significantly extending the durability of the reinforced concrete and steel it covers. VOC content is very low.

It is specified for below-grade tanking, tank and waste-water linings, marine structures, roofs, containment and water features, and is suitable for potable-water contact when the substrate is primed with the specified potable-grade primer. As an aromatic polyurea it may discolour under UV, with no effect on performance.

Recommended uses

  • Below-grade waterproofing and tanking
  • Tank coating and waste-water tank lining
  • Water containment, landscape water features and waterparks
  • Secondary containment linings
  • Marine and splash-zone structures
  • Roof waterproofing where a sprayed seamless membrane is specified

Application

  1. Hot airless spray (plural-component)
SpecificationData sheet value
Coverage1.0–3.0 litres/m² depending on specification; normal minimum 1.5 litres/m² (1.5 mm DFT external, 2.5–3.0 mm for water-retaining structures)
MixingTwo components metered and mixed in the heated spray gun at a 1:1 volume ratio; block and hose temperature 60–70 °C, spray pressure 2000–2500 psi; do not dilute
Drying and curingGel time 5–10 seconds; walkable ~2 minutes; light traffic 15–20 minutes; post-cure 24 hours
Pack sizesPart A 22.5 kg or 225 kg; Part B 21 kg or 212 kg

Typical systems

Sprayed tank / containment lining

  1. Abrasive-blast the concrete or grit-blast the steel
  2. Fill blowholes and prime with the specified Rayson primer
  3. Spray-apply SealForce SP200 to the specified thickness
  4. Post-cure before returning to service

Limitations

  • Applied only by specialist applicators with heated plural-component spray equipment
  • Must be applied over the specified primer — never diluted
  • Aromatic polyurea — discolours under UV (physical properties unaffected)
  • Steel must be coated before flash-rust reforms after blasting
  • Potable-water use requires the specified potable-grade primer

Not suitable for

  • Hand application by roller or brush
  • Application by non-specialist applicators without plural-component spray plant
  • UV-critical exposed finishes without a stable topcoat
  • Application over unprimed or contaminated substrates

02 Rayson system Layers: Tiles, bedded and grouted with SealForce RW1; Screed with RW1 in place of the mixing water; SealForce WB20, two coats, where the room needs a membrane; Concrete or render, cleaned, roughened and repaired

Cementitious waterproofing

SealForce RW1 waterproof cement for slurry coats, renders and screeds, with SealForce WB20 as the membrane where cracks move: no bitumen sheets, and the honest line where cement stops.

  1. Tiles, bedded and grouted with SealForce RW1
  2. Screed with RW1 in place of the mixing water
  3. SealForce WB20, two coats, where the room needs a membrane
  4. Concrete or render, cleaned, roughened and repaired

Walls and floors with no membrane: a slurry coat of RW1, cement and sand on the old concrete, then the render or screed with RW1. Basements and tanks: SealForce SP200, sprayed.

The practical details

Rayson SealForce SP200: questions people ask

Can SealForce SP200 be applied without spray equipment?

No. It is a fast-gelling pure polyurea that must be placed by specialist applicators using heated, high-pressure plural-component spray equipment. For hand-applied waterproofing, use the roller-grade SealForce RC30 or RC40.

How soon can the structure return to service?

It gels in seconds and is walkable in about two minutes, taking light traffic in 15–20 minutes, with a 24-hour post-cure — one of the fastest returns to service of any waterproofing membrane.

Is it safe for drinking-water tanks?

It is suitable for potable-water contact when the substrate is primed with the specified potable-grade primer. Confirm the full potable system with our technical team for your project.

Will it change colour outdoors?

As an aromatic polyurea it can discolour under prolonged UV. This is cosmetic only and does not affect the waterproofing or physical performance; a UV-stable topcoat can be specified where appearance matters.

What thickness is applied?

Typically 1.5 mm dry film for external waterproofing and 2.5–3.0 mm for water-retaining structures, from a coverage of about 1.5 litres/m² upward depending on the specification.
