Best for

Best for concealed and exposed waterproofing under tiles, in bathrooms and wet areas, on roofs, and within car park, bridge and tunnel deck systems.

SealForce RC30 is Rayson's general-purpose liquid waterproofing membrane: a two-component polyurea-based system, roller-applied, that cures to a tough, highly elastic and hydrophobic film keyed hard to almost any prepared surface. It is designed to be tiled over, built into deck systems or left as the working membrane.

The film carries strong mechanical and chemical resistance and, unlike thermoplastic products, does not soften in heat — it holds up to a continuous 90 °C and brief thermal shocks to 200 °C, while staying flexible in the cold to -40 °C. Damage can be locally cleaned and re-coated in a short time.

It suits waterproofing beneath tiling, bathrooms and wet areas, roofs, bridge and tunnel decks, light metal and fibre-cement roofs, asphaltic membranes, and the primary membrane in car-park waterproofing build-ups. The concrete beneath must be sound and properly primed for the surface type.

  • Stays flexible in the cold to -40 °C
  • Locally repairable in a short time

Recommended uses

  • Waterproofing beneath tiling and in bathrooms and wet areas
  • Roof waterproofing
  • Primary waterproofing membrane in car-park deck systems
  • Bridge and tunnel deck waterproofing
  • Light metal and fibre-cement roofs
  • Over asphaltic membranes

Application

  1. Roller
  2. Brush
SpecificationData sheet value
Coverage1.5–1.8 kg/m² total (typically two coats at 0.75–0.9 kg/m² each)
MixingTwo components; add Part B to Part A and mix with a low-speed mixer (~300 rpm) for 2–3 minutes to a uniform colour; prepare only what can be used within the pot life
Drying and curingPot life ~30 minutes; 4–6 hours to cure; 6–12 hours between coats; final cure 7 days
Pack sizesPart A 25 kg + Part B 1.5 kg

Typical systems

Wet-area / under-tile waterproofing

  1. Prepare the substrate and prime for its absorbency
  2. Apply the first coat of SealForce RC30
  3. Apply the second coat once the recoat window opens
  4. Tile or overlay once fully cured

Car-park deck waterproofing

  1. Mechanically prepare and prime the deck
  2. Apply SealForce RC30 as the primary waterproofing membrane in two coats
  3. Finish with the specified wearing and anti-slip system

Limitations

  • Apply on a sound, primed substrate — primer depends on absorbency and surface type
  • Concrete must reach at least 25 N/mm² compressive and 1.5 N/mm² pull-off strength
  • Do not apply below +5 °C
  • Flammable during application — keep away from ignition sources and ventilate
  • Mix only what can be placed within the ~30-minute pot life

Not suitable for

  • Application below +5 °C
  • Weak or friable concrete below 25 N/mm² compressive strength
  • A finished wearing surface for vehicle traffic without a topcoat system
  • Application near ignition sources without ventilation

The practical details

Rayson SealForce RC30: questions people ask

Can SealForce RC30 be tiled over?

Yes — it is commonly used as a concealed waterproofing membrane beneath tiling in bathrooms and wet areas. Allow it to cure, then fix tiles with a compatible adhesive.

Will it soften on a hot roof or deck?

No. Unlike thermoplastic membranes it does not soften — it serves continuously to around 90 °C and tolerates brief thermal shocks to 200 °C, while remaining flexible down to -40 °C.

What substrate strength does it need?

The concrete should be sound, with at least 25 N/mm² compressive strength and a pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm², prepared and primed for its absorbency and surface type.

How many coats and how much material?

Normally two coats at about 0.75–0.9 kg/m² each, for a minimum total of roughly 1.5–1.8 kg/m². Actual consumption depends on substrate texture.

Is it suitable for car park decks?

Yes — it is used as the primary waterproofing membrane within car-park deck systems, finished with the specified wearing course and anti-slip topcoat for traffic.
