Epoxy flooring in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor

Epoxy flooring in KL and Selangor: factories and warehouses in Shah Alam, Klang and Port Klang, car parks and homes, by a Rayson-authorised applicator.

We reply within one working day, Monday to Friday.

A Rayson-authorised applicator in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. In Johor: Factory and warehouse epoxy flooring in Johor. Also in Penang.

Which epoxy floor does a Klang Valley factory need?

Forklift aisles and loading bays: LevelShield SL120 self-levelling epoxy over PrimeBond E20. Storage halls, workshops and garages: FloorGuard R50 roller coat, two coats. Hot washdown or chemical spillage: PurScreed PC70 polyurethane-cement. Rayson names the system after looking at the slab and the traffic.

Before you choose

Which parts of the Klang Valley does the applicator cover?

Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Puchong, and Klang with Port Klang. Sites further out, such as Rawang, Bangi or Semenyih, are confirmed per enquiry, depending on the size of the job.

Anywhere in Malaysia, contractors with their own crews can order the Rayson systems direct, with the data sheets and application guidance.

Can a warehouse in Port Klang or Shah Alam stay open while the floor is laid?

Usually, in sections: the floor is split into bays, each laid and cured while the rest keeps working, often over weekends and public holidays. The cure times on the data sheets decide when racking and forklifts go back.

The epoxy primer and roller coat reach their final cure in seven days, so the section programme is agreed before work starts, with the aisles and loading bays scheduled around deliveries.

Does an epoxy floor need a dry slab?

Yes. The data sheets ask for concrete at least 28 days old with a moisture content of 5% or less, sound enough to reach 1.5 N/mm² in a pull-off test. A slab that is still wet, or has rising damp, blisters the coating.

The applicator measures moisture and bond at the site visit, so a new building’s slab is coated only when it is ready, and an old one is ground and repaired first.

Epoxy for a landed-home garage or a condo car park?

A garage or covered car porch, yes: FloorGuard R50 over PrimeBond E20, two coats. A car porch open to the sun, no: epoxy yellows and chalks outdoors, as the R50 data sheet says. Condo basements and multi-storey car park decks take R50 broadcast with aggregate for grip; open, sun-exposed top decks are outside the range.

For a home floor that should look decorative rather than plain, the IFS flake and metallic finishes go over the same Rayson primer.

A first guide. The specification confirms the system against your traffic, chemicals and washdown.

What you see

The signs

  • Dusting, cracked or oil-stained concrete in a factory or warehouse
  • An old coating peeling where the forklifts turn
  • A garage or store floor that will not stay clean
  • A new slab that needs a finish before the opening date
Why it happens

The usual causes

  • A coating chosen for its colour, not for the traffic
  • A slab coated before it was dry, ground or repaired
  • A thin film where the forklifts turn and brake
How the job runs

From three photos to a finished job

  1. Survey

Moisture and bond tests, what runs on the floor, the chemicals and the cleaning, and when each area can close.

  2. Specification from the maker

The system and thickness for each zone, with the data sheets, in writing, and the section programme.

  3. Prepare and lay

Grinding or shot blasting, crack and joint repair, PrimeBond E20, then the body coat or screed to the data sheet.

  4. Cure and hand over

Each section back in use when the data sheets allow, with the data sheets and the warranties for your file.

What to send

Three photos are enough for a first quotation

  1. The floor, wide, with what runs on it
  2. The worst patch, close
  3. The area in sq ft, the town, and when it can close

What it costs

What does epoxy flooring cost in KL and Selangor?

Per square foot, quoted after inspection. Five things decide it: the area, the preparation (grinding, repairs and moisture), the system and its thickness (a roller coat at 0.3 to 0.5 kg/m² a coat is a different quantity from a self-levelling floor at 1.6 to 2.0 kg/m²), the section programme around your operation, and access. Rayson publishes no price list. Contractors with their own crews can order the materials direct.

Who stands behind the job

  • Rayson makes the materials, writes the specification and warrants the material.
  • The Rayson-authorised applicator for your area an independent company authorised by Rayson, contracts with you, inspects, quotes, installs and warrants the workmanship.
  • Rayson is not the installer and is not a party to the installation contract. Two warranties, two companies.

The Rayson difference

An installer buys whatever is on the shelf. A Rayson-authorised applicator installs what Rayson makes.

01

The maker writes the specification

The system is specified by the company that makes the material, and installed by an independent applicator Rayson has authorised, not chosen from whatever a supplier had on the shelf that week.

02

A data sheet for every layer

Every Rayson material on your floor or roof has a published technical data sheet. You can read what went in, and so can your consultant.

03

Two warranties, two companies

Rayson warrants the material as its maker. The authorised applicator, an independent company that contracts with you, warrants the workmanship. Each warranty is issued by the company responsible for it.

04

Same materials on both sides of the Causeway

The products, data sheets and application methods are the ones Rayson publishes in Singapore. Nothing is rebadged for Malaysia.

05

Materials direct, for your own crew

Contractors and facility teams buy the same materials direct from the maker, with application guidance. The applicator is there when you want the job done for you.

The practical details

Questions people ask

Who does the job in KL and Selangor?

An independent, Rayson-authorised applicator in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, including Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya and Klang. It inspects, quotes, contracts with you and warrants the workmanship; Rayson makes the materials and is not the installer. Sites further out in Selangor are confirmed per enquiry.

Can our own crew buy the materials?

Yes. Order through Rayson Malaysia (Epovex Coatings Sdn. Bhd.) by WhatsApp or the form; supply and delivery are confirmed for each order, with the data sheets, coverage figures and application guidance.

Can a new coat go over our old epoxy floor?

Over sound, well-bonded old epoxy, yes, after grinding: PrimeBond E20 lists sound existing epoxy flooring among its substrates. Where the old coating is peeling, it comes off first.

Who gives the warranty?

Rayson warrants the materials as their maker; the Rayson-authorised applicator warrants the workmanship. Both are written into the quotation.
